Mikan is writing to her grandpa about how different students with different stars receive different allowance. Special stars like Natsume receives 300 rabbits, 3 stars like Hotaru and Iincho receive 100 rabbits, 2 stars receive 50 rabbits, 1 star student like Kokoroyomi, Anna, and Nonoka receive 30 rabbits. How about no star? Well, 5 rabbits are good enough for them. Anyway, all of the kids then tell Mikan that they're about to go to Central Town. Mikan is clueless about the place so Hotaru tells her that Central Town is the schools own shopping mall. Iincho adds that the products sold in the town are the creation of people who have Alice ability. Hotaru then invites Mikan to come to town and Mikan immediately assumes that Hotaru is asking her out on a date. So everyone tells her that there's no date but Mikan is welcome to come with Hotaru, Iincho, and Kokoroyomi-kun.

Unfortunately for Mikan, Jin-Jin (Jinno-sensei) decides to be an ass and tells her that a no-star, trouble child like her is not allowed to go to Central Town. Thankfully for Mikan, Narumi-sensei then arrives and asks Jin-Jin to allow Mikan to go. Jin-Jin finally relents on the condition that Mikan is accompanied by her partner: Natsume. Mikan is devastated about this and has no choice but to grovel in front of Natsume, asking him to come to Central Town with her. Sumire doesn't miss the opportunity to mock Mikan telling her friend that Mikan is trying to ask Natsume out on a date. While groveling, however, Mikan is distracted by the presence of a cute 3 year old boy called Yoichi. Natsume seems to be awfully nice to the boy much to Mikan's surprise. So Ruka-pyon tells her that Yoichi is familiar with Natsume due to Yoichi being in the same group as Natsume (Kiken nouryoku-kei - students with dangerous Alices).

Mikan and Sumire immediately fight over thekid. Unfortunately for them, the brat is not as sweet as he looks. He loves calling Mikan and Sumire names ranging from idiot to ape thanks to Natsume's tutelage. Mikan, however, still insist on playing with Yoichi despite the kid's reluctance so Ruka warns her to be careful because the kid's has the ability to release evil spirits. It's a case of a little too late because Mikan and Sumire are already spooked out by then. Never the less, the tot seems to be interested to go to Central Town. So Natsume agrees to come on the condition that Mikan becomes an ice-cream seller inside the bus that takes the students to Central Town. Of course this means she gets to be abused by other students while doing her job. The pain seems to be worth it, however, because Mikan seems to love Central Town the minute she arrives at the place.

Unfortunately for Mikan, she doesn't have enough money to buy anything good in the city. For example, she's interested in a vanity mirror that can display a mirror image of her wearing different costume but that mirror costs 300 rabbits. So Hotaru and Iincho suggest that they go for soft-cream since it'll only cost Mikan 2 rabbits. On their way to get the food, however, Mikan is distracted by an apple that refuses to be eaten by anyone. Mikan tries to defend the apple's right and in doing so, setting it free. Well, it's not free for Mikan because she has to pay the store owner 5 rabbits. There goes her entire allowance. While Mikan is still in shock, Ruka, Kokoroyomi-kun, and Yoichi arrive on the scene carrying a box of Cotton Candy. Mikan, who never saw Cotton Candy before is excited to know what it is. So Rukan points her to a store selling Sweat driciaus Cotton Candy. Yup, that's not a typo on my part.

Upon hearing Ruka and Kokoroyomi-kun's explanation, Mikan wants to buy the candy as well. But unfortunately, the price is beyond her budget. One small box apparently cost 10 rabbits. Iincho offers to lend her some money but Mikan then remembers the advice of her grandpa not to borrow money from others. So Mikan tries to earn money by offering various entertainment/services on the street. After several failed attempts, she sees a successful performer on the street and decides to do something similar. Employing the help of her friends, Mikan decide to make a theatrical play of "The Little Match Girl - Mikan". Iincho provides the special effects that make it looks like the place is snowy. Meanwhile, Hotaru plays the role of the evil old lady who forces poor Mikan to sell Match stick or else she can't go back home. Anyway, the play then starts with the story started out similarly to the original version.

In brief, the story goes like this: the little match girl tries to sell a match on a cold winter day but she feels cold so she lights one of the matches to warm her body and in the process start to hallucinate and imagine nice pleasant home, etc. Halfway through Mikan's performance, however, a few mishaps happen such as Yoichi unleashing his evil spirit on Mikan. Since the whole play becomes messy by now, Mikan decides to go straight to the point and makes her character hallucinating some Cotton Candy and tells her captive audiences that she wants to eat one. Once the little match’s girl drops dead from hunger, Hotaru goes around and tries to sell a crappy stick for 1 rabbit. For some reason, everyone including Sumire and her friend love the play and decide to buy the useless stick. So Mikan gets her 10 rabbits in no time.

Mikan is visiting Hotaru's room to check if Hotaru wants to go out for a break from her study. When she got there, however, Mikan realises that there's something different about the Mikan-lookalike robot that is owned by Hotaru. Eventually, Mikan takes the robot to B class where the robot introduces itself as Amanatsu. Everyone is surprised at how similar Amanatsu is to Mikan. Mikan, however, is confused when Amanatsu tells her that this is the first time she sees Mikan because they've met each other not too long ago. Hotaru, however, informs Mikan that the unit she saw back then was actually just a prototype. Anyway, everyone then wonders about Amanatsu's ability so Hotaru then demonstrate that the robot's ability is to imitate's Mikan's action/behaviour. This seems to be a very useless ability since Mikan: sucks at Math, sucks at sport, and a weeper to boot.

Not long after this, Hotaru is summoned to the teacher's room to meet a client who's happy with her invention: a pig's nose/ear that allows human beings to have the same sense of smell as animal. The invention impresses the client so much to the point that Hotaru is going to receive an honor student prize for this invention. However, her sempai, Tashiro, is jealous because his invention is pushed aside for Hotaru's. He demands a second chance and the client decides that if both students can create a robot which can win in a battle, that person will be the one who receives the honor student prize. Upon hearing this, Amanatsu wants to help Hotaru but Hotaru coldly tells the robot to not interfere. Amanatsu is sad about this so Mikan tries to cheer the robot up by telling it that they can help Hotaru by doing other things. Other things such as making a stamina drink which ends up causing mess in Hotaru's room and pissing her off even more.

Since that works so well, Mikan and Amanatsu decides to turn off Hotaru's alarm so she doesn't have to go to class and has more time to create her project. Mikan then dresses Amanatsu up like Hotaru so that people don't know about Hotaru's absence from the class. The problem is, just like Mikan, Amanatsu is really bad at Math. So when Jin-Jin asks Hotaru to solve a math calculation, Mikan has to take over the task so no one will know that 'Hotaru' sucks at Math. Of course Mikan fails miserably. Later on during PE class, Amanatsu ends up using too much of her power to the point that her limbs (and later on, her head) end up flying together with the baseball that she throws at Kokoroyomi-kun. To make things worse, Hotaru eventually finds out about this and tells the two of them to stay out of her way. Later on, however, the two find out that Tashiro has sabotage Hotaru's lab to minimise her chance at creating the robot.

Because of this the two decide to come to the competition in case Hotaru can't make it in time with her new creation. So Amanatsu ends up being the robot that face off with Tashiro's humongous giant robo. In the middle of the battle, however, Mikan suspects that Tashiro is cheating. True enough, it looks like the giant robo is actually four robots that started out as one. Amanatsu, however, manages to win the fight by releasing her overabundance tears, short-circuiting the giant robots. Misaki-sensei is not impressed with Tashiro's cheating ways but when he tells the loser to give it up, Tashiro presses a button on his remote control to make his robot launches a huge canon ball into Mikan. For the first time ever, Amanatsu makes an initiative move and throws herself away to the ball to protect Mikan. Amanatsu's arm is broken but thankfully Hotaru later on arrives to fix it and to let the Mikan twins know that their effort is appreciated.

Mikan asking Narumi-Sensei to deliver a letter to her grandfather. Unfortunately, her letter-writing effort seems to be a one-sided activity because Mikan never receives any reply from her grandfather. Thanks to a classmate with divination Alice plus Hotaru's help, she eventually finds out that her grandfather is not well-informed about her despite her countless mails. Upon finding out about this, Natsume tells her that this is the price she pays for getting into the school. He also adds that maybe she should wonder if her letters actually ever reached her grandfather. So Hotaru gets an idea to test Narumi-Sensei's honesty by having Mikan giving another letter to the teacher. This letter, however, contains special stickers that can provide visual and sound to Hotaru's Spy TV gadget. Thanks to the gadget, the kids find out how 'cancellation' Alice has become something taboo due to a past event.

Mikan, however, is more shocked when a female teacher says that she feels sorry for Mikan because Mikan doesn't know that her letters are now kept inside a desk's drawer. So Mikan immediately marches right into the teacher's office, much to Narumi and the female teacher's surprise. she then opens Narumi-Sensei's drawer and realises that Narumi really has been hiding her letter inside the drawer. Obviously Mikan's angry by this latest discovery and ends up calling Narumi a liar. She also demands that she'll be allowed to see her grandfather. Unfortunately, Jinno-Sensei then comes in and angrily tells her that she's tresspassed the teacher's room. As a punishment, Mikan is confined in her room without any meal. So Hotaru and Iincho ask Ruka to help them smuggle some food for Mikan. Ruka does this by setting a mouse loose so that the robot that's guarding Mikan runs away to chase that said mouse.
When Ruka finally manages to see Mikan, Mikan asks him to help her to see her grandfather. Ruka agrees to help her by sending her flying using his eagle. Unfortunately for Ruka, this means he has to wear Mikan's skirt so Mikan can use his presumably more flexible pants. Before Mikan leaves, Ruka gives Mikan a parachute and skin cream from Hotaru since the school gate that she's about to cross is protected with electricity. So much for the preparation though, because Mikan still get electrocuted anyway. She also can't stay relax for a long time because Hotaru warns her that someone from school will be alerted immediately once someone crosses the gate. True enough, Narumi finds out from Mikan's homeroom teacher that Mikan has run away. Meanwhile, Mikan tries to find a way to go to the station but she's spotted by a bunch of guys who want to kidnap her once they found out that she's a student from the school.

Mikan tries to run away without much success but thankfully Narumi-Sensei arrives in time to foil the kidnappers. Narumi's attempt, however, ends up injuring him a little bit when the kidnappers shoot him with a gun. Mikan feels guilty because Narumi got hurt because of her so she agrees to return to the school. Once they're safe, Narumi-Sensei asks for Mikan's forgiveness because he can't tell her yet why he didn't send Mikan's letter to her grandfather nor why she can't see her grandpa. Mikan is sad but tries her best to bear it for now. Later on, Narumi is seen in reading in his bedroom while near his bedside, there's a framed picture of him with a woman. Mikan then appears and asks if she can sleep next to him and calls him 'grandpa'. Narumi agrees with the first request but prefers that Mikan calls him 'father' instead since he's too young to be a grandpa. The episode ends with Mikan feeling a bit happy despite what happened that day.

Mikan successfully taking the hard to nail rubbish bin without too much trouble. Unknown to her, this action has been observed with interest by Natsume. Later on in class, Mikan invites her classmates to come to an afternoon lunch break with Tsubasa. Mikan seems to be happy to have a kind and cool sempai like Tsubasa but Hotaru quickly tells her that he may not want a kouhai like Mikan. Nasty. Oh well, what are friends for? Anyway, Mikan also decides to invite Ruka as well but the guy declines because he doesn't want to piss Natsume off. Speaking of the brat, upon finding out that the next lesson will be taught by Narumi sensei, Natsume and his crew decide to skip the class. Mikan feels annoyed by Natsume's action and therefore decides to spill her problem to Tsubasa that afternoon when she and her friends have tea with the sempai. Before Tsubasa can give some advice, however, Mikan is surprised when she finds out that the 'waiter' that's been serving her tea and biscuit is none other than Mr.Bear. Mikan and her friends are immediately petrified but Tsubasa tells her not to be afraid because the bear belongs to his friend so he should be okay. Well yeah, as long as Tsubasa is around because the minute he's gone to help Misaki carrying some items, Mr. Bear proceeds to pummell Mikan. Anyway, after the lunch break, Tsubasa tells Mikan that like Natsume's cat mask; he also has something that controls his behaviour in school and points to the little star mark near his left eye. He tells her that the mark is a penal regulations mark or to put it simply, a 'light curse'. It's one of the many ways that the school manages troublesome students. Apparently the mark can induce some pain if the student misbehaves. So in a way, Tsubasa understands Natsume a bit.

Never the less, Tsubasa tells Mikan that if she's annoyed with Natsume's action, then she should use her brain to find a way to get over it. But in the end, Mikan ends up challenging Natsume and his gang to a Dodgeball fight. The guys agree on the condition that if Mikan loses, she will do whatever they say. In return, Mikan tells them that if they lose, they won't skip class anymore. Natsume agrees on the condition that they use an Alice Dodgeball. So Iincho tells Mikan that she better be careful because the ball basically can be used to channel a person's alice so they need some people with good Alice on their team. Thankfully, the two nice girls in the class, Nonoko and Anna, decide to be on her team and so does Iincho. Hotaru, however, needs a little bit of persuasion in the form of money and lots of it. They then try to persuade Ruka to join the team but Ruka refuses at first. That is, until Hotaru blackmails him with pictures of him frolicking with Giant Piyo.

In the end, Mikan's team consists of herself, Hotaru, Ruka, Iincho, Nonoko, Anna, plus Giant Piyo and Mr.Bear. The game then begins and all kinds of wacky Alices end up being used in the game. Soon enough, the only people left in the 2 teams are Ruka and Mikan vs Natsume and one of his lackeys. Mikan thanks Ruka for being concerned about her and in doing so wins the boy over. When the lackey tries to hit her with a ball, Ruka takes the hit instead. In the end, it's Mikan vs Natsume. So Natsume begins to throw the ball but strangely, it's Alice-less. Sumire is upset because she thinks Mikan has nullified Natsume's Alice. Mikan then manages to catch the ball but unfortunately loses the grip and drops it. So she lost the game. Never the less, she thanks Natsume for not using his Alice in that last ball. Natsume seems to be quite taken with her too so he tells his underlings to forget about the bet. The episode ends with Natsume being watched over by Persona, the strange guy with the mask.

As a result, Mikan ends up walking to the class on her own. On her way, she meets Iincho and Narumi-sensei who are having morning tea in the middle of a garden. Narumi-sensei decides to give Mikan a brief tour of the school's area by using Iincho's Alice. So Mikan gets to see different areas of the school from the sky. Or rather, she feels as if she's in the sky while the truth is the whole thing is just an illusion. Anyway, she finds out how students of different age live in different dorm and how the school has its own small town. Her happiness, however, is short lived when she finds out that she's not allowed to tell her grandfather about the school. Mikan is sad about this but Iincho tells her that she can write a letter and give it to Narumi-sensei. Their conversation, however, is interrupted by the arrival of an angry-looking Natsume.

His anger seems to be directed mostly towards Narumi-sensei so the two end up in another explosive match. When things are over, a bleeding Narumi-sensei tells Natsume that he'd be better off running away quickly since Narumi can't help him anymore now. Later on, Mikan gets to re-introduce herself at the B class. Most of her classmates seem to be happy to accept her now, well, everyone but Sumire so she decides to ask Narumi-sensei what is Mikan's star rank. Mikan is confused about this, so Iincho gets to explain how each student has their own star rank, which seems to correlate to their performance as a student. There are five levels of the star system: nothing, single, double, triple, and special. Some students like Iincho and Hotaru are three-stars students. Natsume, however, is in a class of his own since he seems to be the only student who gets the 'special' star treatment. Speaking of the devil, he suddenly appears inside the class wearing his black cat mask again.

According to other students, the mask is in place to prevent him from using his magic. It works by sending electric current to Natsume's brain if he tries to use his power. Mikan also notices that Natsume now has some fresh scars in some parts of his body. Anyway, later on Mikan gets on the wrong side of Jinno-sensei thanks to Sumire's prank. And since they haven't decided what her rank will be, Jinno-sensei decides that hers will be zero. That means she'll get the worst in everything from accommodation to food. She's even more depressed when she realises that Hotaru doesn't care much about it. However, when she overhears a child saying that he doesn't want to be in school, Mikan realises that she came to the school on her own volition so she decides to keep her chin up. The next day, Hotaru comes over to give Mikan some encouragement. This, however, doesn't stop Hotaru from using her invention to smack Mikan to the wall when the girl tries to hug her.

Mikan, Hotaru, and Iincho encountering an axe-wielding teddy bear. Mikan is impressed to see the doll moving around and wonders where she can find the remote control. Iincho, however, immediately freaks out when Mikan begins to touch the teddy bear and tells her that she better stay away from it. Well, I'd have said 'run for your life!' but some people tend to underestimate situations like this. Before Mikan can fully understand what Iincho means, however, she is suddenly sent flying upwards by the bear's punch. Meanwhile, in the classroom, Mikan's future classmates are placing bets on whether or not she can make it out alive out of the forest. Natsume, however, is uninterested and is more concerned with the fact that he still hasn't been able to figure out Mikan's Alice.

Meanwhile inside the woods, poor Mikan is still being pummeled by Mr.Bear so Iincho tells Hotaru that they have to help Mikan. Hotaru, however, is seen hiding inside a caterpillar-like sleeping bag. She claims that the bag is cold, heat, and sound resistant as well as shock-proofed so it'll be safe to hide there. Heee. However, when Mr.Bear is about to deliver the final KO punch on Mikan, Hotaru calls upon a pink Elephant car which then throws bucket loads of water on top of Mr. Bear, rendering it lifeless. Hotaru then tells Iincho to put Mikan on top of another car in the shape of a giraffe. They then flee the place before Mr.Bear regains consciousness. Inside the car, Iincho explains that once upon a time, a student made a doll and then uses his alice to give soul to the doll. That doll is eventually known as Mr.Bear.
The three eventually stop for food. While resting, Mikan gets some background information on Natsume from Iincho and Hotaru. Iincho thinks that it's better if Mikan don't cross Natsume's path too often. Hotaru thinks that his fire ability is as good as any adult to the point that he can do it in an instant. Natsume also hates this school for an unknown reason. Upon hearing this, Mikan remembers how she thought that Natsume's eyes are cold. Before she can think further, however, she's surprised by the horror look on Hotaru's and Iincho's face. It turns out that a humongous chicken called Giant Piyo has appeared behind them. As a result, the three once again flee for their life and eventually manages to hide themselves from the bird. They, however, can't go back because they will then encounter Mr.Bear again and they can't go forward because Giant Piyo is still rampaging the forest.

Iincho thinks that they can pass Giant Piyo if there is Ruka around because his Alice can tame the bird. But they can't use him because he's always with Natsume. Because of this, Hotaru comes up with an idea to use Iincho's Alice to lure Ruka to the forest. Meanwhile, Ruka is seen acting cool in front of other students until he reaches a barn. Upon getting there, however, he drops his 'cool mask' and starts acting like a boy who has an unhealthy obsession with animals. His joy, however, is disturbed when two classmates find him in the barn and even more so when he starts getting strange images of animal in the forest crying, asking him to come to the forest. So Ruka immediately runs to the forest to find these animals. Upon getting there, however, he realises that the whole thing is a trap. Iincho has been using his Alice to create the hallucination that Ruka sees in his mind.

Ruka, at first refuses to help them getting rid of Giant Piyo. But after Mikan told him that Hotaru is going to subdue the bird with an arrow if he won't help them, he agrees to do their bidding. A very disturbing scene then occurs where Ruka. Meanwhile, Natsume receives the news from his underlings that they saw Ruka heading towards the North Woods not too long ago. Upon hearing this, Natsume looks as if he's about to kill a cow, or Mikan. Back in the forest, a group of Academy seniors come and help the juniors to contain the Giant Piyo. Once they left, Mikan and the others make fun of Ruka's animal-hugging ways by showing a picture of him frolicking with Giant Piyo and calling him Ruka-pyon. Mikan, however, wonders why before this Ruka always looks as if his cat just got killed.

Ruka explains that it's because he promises Natsume back then that if Natsume does not laugh, then he won't laugh either. He refuses to be happy when Natsume is in pain. Upon hearing this, Mikan wonders why Ruka befriended a killjoy such as Natsume. Ruka is angry and tells them not to assume bad things about Natsume when they don't know him. Anyway, the four eventually decide to return to the class. Mikan is disappointed because she still hasn't been able to find out a clue about her Alice. However, while walking towards the school, they encounter an angry-looking Natsume. Natsume tells them that the game is over and that Mikan is disqualified. He then pulls Mikan's hair and tells her that he doesn't like that she's using Ruka to cheat the game. Seeing the situation turning dangerous, Hotaru decides to throw a smoke bomb at Natsume, allowing Mikan to run away.

However, Natsume then uses his fire to surround Iincho with flames. Everyone including Ruka asks Natsume to stop his power but Natsume refuses to listen. In fact, he uses his Alice to surround Hotaru in flames as well. Upon seeing this, Mikan becomes angry and pushes Natsume to the ground to force him to stop the fire. Angered by the sudden attack, Natsume tries to fry Mikan with his power. Before he can manage to do so, however, a giant blue light suddenly surrounds the two of them and eventually envelopes half of the forest like an atomic explosion. Once the explosion subsides, Narumi-sensei appears and uses his power to subdue Natsume. He then tells Mikan that she has a wonderful Alice, one that cancels Natsume's fire attack. In other words, her Alice is cancellation. Narumi-sensei then congratulates Mikan and tells her that she is allowed to stay at the school as a student.

Mikan is bullied by Natsume and his buddies some more. The class rep, Tobita, tries to stop it but isn't successful. Hotaru doesn't do a thing to help.. The very stuck-up head of the Natsume Fanclub, Sumire, demands to know what Mikan's alice is. Mikan doesn't know... a kid with an alice that lets him read minds starts reading Mikan's mind and repeats what he hears to the class. Now everybody knows that Mikan has no clue whatsoever what her alice is... Hotaru finally steps in and uses her horseshoe gloves to beat the guy who was teasing Mikan up.. But she still seems rather cold to Mikan..

Afterwards, Tobita takes Mikan around the school a bit and to Hotaru's laboratory. Hotaru's alice is invention, btw. Hotaru isn't there, but a robot of her is. And so is a robot of Mikan that Hotaru made to tease and beat up on ;) Hotaru finally comes in and, as usual, Mikan is all over her.

Upon returning to the classroom, Natsume and Sumire tell Mikan they'll acknowledge that she has an alice if she goes to the North Forest and returns safe. Of course she goes, bringing Tobita with her. They kinda get stuck in a bog, but Hotaru comes to the rescue on her duckmobile (for a price). There aren't any ghosts in the forest, but there are weird things.. like a teddy bear with a big axe.

The fruity (as Momotato says) Narumi-sensei gets Natsume under control and he takes Mikan in to the Alice Academy. While he goes off to tell the higher-ups that Mikan is coming, Mikan stays with the still out cold Natsume. Mikan worries about whether or not she can trust Narumi-sensei. I don't know if what he did earlier to Natsume was sekuhara, though... In comes the biology teacher, Misaki-sensei, so he talks to Mikan a bit to try and reassure her that Narumi's a decent guy. He also tells Mikan what Narumi's "Alice" is.. very fittingly.. he can use pheromones to control people. Mikan still has no clue what her Alice is. So Misaki-sensei leaves and tells Mikan to press the red emergency button if Natsume wakes up..

But Natsume already has her before she can do anything. And he's not too nice a guy. One of his buddies, Ruka, comes flying in to join in. Narumi and Misaki come in to stop them... but not before Mikan lose her skirt. Polka-dotted pantsu, eh? ;)

Mikan cries a river over what Natsume did to her, but Narumi gives her her new Alice Academy uniform. He also brings some of her classmates... and among them is.. yup, Hotaru, still seemingly as cold as ever. She finally does give in and lets Mikan give her a hug. They go to class B, where there's a wide variety of Alice's being used.. flying, drawing things in the air, so on. Mikan gets a seat.. yup, right next to Natsume. Not a good idea to fight with him and his buddies, though..

Mikan.. Who speaks Kansai-ben. Hope y'all have been studying ;)... leading a one kid protest movement against shutting down the school she goes to. She kinda lost her audience going over her memories of the school.. She talks about a girl that transferred to her school in 3rd grade, Hotaru.. whose favorite subject is nanotechnology. One day Hotaru asked Mikan to be her friend and go to a Karaoke contest with her and they've gotten really, really close since then.

However, today Hotaru leaves Mikan to go do something... a mechanical turtle carrying a message for Mikan comes.. Hotaru's leaving to go to school in Tokyo. Mikan is devastated but Hotaru says she'll come back to visit but she doesn't. There are some rumors being spread about the school Hotaru's attending, the Alice Academy. Say the students are paid by the country to go there... Mikan overhears Hotaru's mother talking with a teacher about why she went. She did it so that the school wouldn't have to be closed. And she would have had to go sooner or later anyways.

So Mikan decides to run away and see Hotaru at the Alice Academy in Tokyo. She eventually finds her way there, but can't get in. A couple of suspicious types offer to help, but they're stopped by a bishie (and I mean bishie) teacher from the school who uses some kind of strange power to convince them to go on. He tries using the same power, called an "Alice", on Mikan but it does't work.. So he offers to let Mikan into the school. Suddenly, there's an explosion and a kid in a black cat mask stands on top of the wall. He's the top student, Natsume, and his "Alice" is flame...
