Mikan was shocked that Natsume did not agree to join her team for the Sports Festival. Narumi saw that, he then told Mikan that since she has already become so familar with the school, and that Natsume had no problems with Luna, he asked if it's alright for her to switch her partner with Luna. He asked Natsume for his opinions too. Sure enough, Natsume had no objections. Mikan was even more puzzled at how the things turned out. That concluded the HomeRoom lesson.

After Narumi walked out of the classroom, Teacher Misaki called out to him. He asked what was his meaning of doing what he had done. Narumi just turned and walked away. It was a flashback between Misaki & Narumi. Misaki asked Narumi to show him his arm because Narumi has been hiding it since the Christmas Party. Also, Narumi has been visiting the hospital lately, playing with Misaki's medicine rack and Misaki had also heard that Narumi had been going in and out of the Principal's office. Misaki then went on and asked what Narumi was hiding. Narumi then defended himself saying that Misaki was mean to say that he was hiding something. Misaki added that he knew something about the new transferred student though he did not discover anything before. He asked Narumi what is he going to do about that new student... That's the end of the flashback... Back to the main scene, Narumi had escaped from Misaki again. Jinno, who was together with Misaki recalled a line that Narumi had said before; "Don't worry, I will definitely protect Mikan. Even if i had to exchange something for it."

Back to the elementary classroom... Mikan was pondering about Narumi's behavior earlier. She felt that Narumi was behaving weirdly but even though it was an odd behavior, she felt that it was typical of him because Narumi had always been doing weird things. (Kokoroyomi came over and continued the sentence) However, weird Narumi had been, still, it was different. What the difference was, Mikan did not know. Iinchou then mentioned that though we could not understand what Narumi had done earlier, it was Natsume's behavior that had caught the attention. Mikan was reminded of what Natsume had done earlier

- Telling Mikan to stay in her seat when Luna was hinting her to leave

- Choosing White Team instead of the Red when she asked him to

It then came to Iinchou's attention that Ruka had gone. Hotaru then replied; "Isn't he at the toilet with You-chan?" Ruka had been looking for Natsume, when he had finally found him and was about to call out to him, he heard

Natsume talking to Luna; "let go of me, shitty girl! How long do you plan to cling onto me? You're disgusting me to hell!"

After Luna received what Natsume had said, she gave Natsume a slap on his face!

Luna said; "You are disgusting me to hell?(the same line earlier) That should be my line! Who do you think you're talking to? Shitty brat!" She grabbed Natsume's head and continued: "You're just like your mother who died young, those eyes. Those detestful, disgusting red eyes... Actually, it should have been more fun that arrogant brats like you that should be targeted. Oh well, that kid is that kid, since there's some fun with that kid, it's alright then. You better not do anything extra, for your sake and that kid's. Since i am a kind girl, i shall forgive your behavior earlier as an exception. Let's go, Natsume-kun."

Both Ruka & You-chan had overheard that conversation. What Luna had said earlier was still ringing at the back of Ruka's ears; "You better not do anything extra...- Target" He thought; ''Natsume....''

The scene changes to the Sports Festival. The 2 teams, Red & White were told to line up for instructions. Over here, both Sakurano Syuuichi & Imai Subaru were giving out the instructions. Sakurano explained that there are 3 rounds of games where indivuduals were allowed to use their Alices. During which, the rules as to the amount of Alice that could be used would be announced. Any rules violations will cause the team to lose points and how serious the offense was would be dealt accordingly to the various penalties. Imai then proceeded with the rules.1. Do not use Alice at any injured or sick persons. If there are any casualties, the culprit will be disqualified and receive a penalty.2. Anyone who uses his or her Alice more than 3 times, will be disqualified immediately. All participants were asked to paste a special "Three-Counter" Alice sticker on their shirts during the event. The star-shaped sticker is divided into 3 parts. The first block of it will light up if the student uses 1 time of his/her Alice and that the sticker will lose its stickiness once the 3rd block of the sticker is light up. Anyone without the sticker would be disqualified immediately and receive a penalty. After the instructions, Mikan was cheered up a bit even after though she was a little depressed due to the team arrangements earlier. She felt that the Sports Festival might be interesting after all.

Just then, Imai Subaru, who was in their team and also the representative of the Potential Class, appeared. He said that the Sports Festival in the Alice Academy is different from other schools. It is a battle using the brains of how effective can one control their Alice to win, and that a strategy is important to decide the win-lose of a team. To know the Alices of self and the enemy's and the road to winning is there. Subaru added; "Students of Potential class, Special class and half of Dangerous class, because of that reason, do not get in contact with any students of the Technical class, Physical class and half of Dangerous class unnecessarily until the Sports Festival has ended!" And Mikan was dragged away. Hotaru said; "Bye bye, Mikan," Over here, Sakurano added an extra rule which he had forgotten to say earlier, it was, the winner of this Sports Festival will receive a luxurious special prize. Mikan was all down because she has expected a fun Sports Festival. Iinchou then comfort her by saying that it'll turn out to be fun only that it'll be tough. Mikan took a glance at the White Team. There's Ruka-pyon, Hotaru, Perm, Anna, Nonoko and Natsume. Just as Natsume's image went into Mikan's eyes, he turned and looked at her. At that instant, Mikan looked away thinking that the 'battle' does not look good. Just then someone tapped on her head. It was You-chan! But it was not the 3-year-old-body but his 13-year-old look! He was able to transform to and for in between the 3-year-old look & the 13-year-old look was all because of the side effects of the Gulliver sweet that he had taken during the Princess Party.

Iinchou said; "Mikan-chan, it's going to be alright. Although it seems like a battle between enemy and friends earlier. But everyone has the spirit to work for it, so let's put our spirit together and work hard for it. The Sports festival will definitely turn out to be fun regardless of who's the enemy or who's the friend. Mikan-chan has us by your side anyway. Let's work hard together. " Mikan was liven up a bit by Iinchou's encouragement.

Over at the White Team, looks like Sumire and all were worried for Mikan. However, they were rather relieved seeing that she was cheered up again. Sumire felt that nothing could be worse than to be grouped with the new student. And because she expressed her anger out loud in words, Nonoko told her that she could be heard. However, Sumire could not be bothered with Luna's feelings and that it does not matter even if she was heard by her. Sumire felt that the new student was weird in all ways. She said; "That girl has been looking at Natsume perversely since the first day of school, and she was always surrounded with boys. It was as if her Alice had something got to do with attracting boys. I can't belive she's in the Physical class! She uses her Alice type as an excuse to push away troublesome things at her own convenience. Just what on earth is she?!"

Over at the Red team...Mikan was approached by some students warning her that if she dared to use her Alice to nullify Luna's Alice again, she will not be let off easily. Ofcourse, Mikan had no idea whatsoever the guys were talking about. The students added that they knew Mikan hated Luna and had secretly nullified her Alice when she was about to show them what her Alice was. The students said even meaner things to Mikan that they knew Mikan was unhappy about Luna because she has been with Natsume all this while and that it's very despicable of her to do such things to Luna when she knew about Luna's condition. Iinchou and Kokoroyomi were aroused by the attention. The students continued saying that they did not wish to say such things to Mikan either and hope that she would stop this "so-called" joke at Luna. And the students left. Leaving Mikan all blanked out. Hotaru then realised that Luna had been spreading things around, and students whom she was talking to, had mysterious marks left on their necks. Back at the red team...Iinchou called out to Mikan. Mikan tried to explain that she had done nothing. Kokoroyomi, Kitsuneme and Iinchou said together; "We understand. You did nothing, you did nothing." Mikan was shocked that before she tried to speak, the boys already knew. They explained that they did not know why but it seems that everyone has mistaken about Mikan that she had nullified Luna when she failed to show her Alice in class. Iinchou felt that the states of the kids surrounding Luna were different, or rather it seems that they were attracted because of pheromones. But then, Luna is not able to use her Alice rashly. Just then, Luna uttered something under her breath. Meanwhile, someone from the High School department had called for Sakurano and Imai to go over. They were worring what would happen next but they were left with no choice to go. After they had left, all the equipment began to fly and they all went towards Mikan. That ruckus attracted Ruka's, Hotaru's and of course Natsume's attention. Sadly, none of them were near Mikan to save her. Mikan was, however, saved by someone....came the voice; "Over here, Mikan-chan!" She was pulled into what it looks like a sports equipment room. And the came voice behind; "It should be alright now" A figure resembling Luna was standing behind of Mikan...

Gakuen Alice 78

The new student is called Koizumi Luna. Her presence had caused a huge ruckus in the class as most of the students were curious about her Alice. Just as the class was asking many questions at the background, questions like how old she is, what's her Alice type and all, Narumi explained that it's forbidden for her to use her Alice unless it's really required because each time she uses her Alice, her life will be shortened. Narumi added that the class is forbidden to play any pranks on her just to make her show her Alice.

As usual, Sumire was not fancy of this new face. However, Mikan sensed that there was something more to it. So then, Narumi was arranging her to sit with one of the classmates. However, Luna did not seem to be too fond of sitting beside someone with mucus hanging down from the nose. She started coughing and Narumi got the sign that she did not want to sit there thus told her to pick her own seat. he went towards Natsume, Mikan & Ruka.. She stared at the 3 of them as Narumi tried to tell her that she could not sit with Natsume because he already had Ruka and Mikan by his sides. Luna started coughing that one of her classmates told Mikan to let Luna to sit with Natsume. Mikan was lost and did not know what to do. Luna then looked at her with puppy eyes and said, Thank you.. Given Mikan's personality, she stood up and was about to move away. Natsume held Mikan's arm and said; " What? Who's gonna sit beside you is up to me to decide! (i think this statement was addressed to luna) Stay here, Mikan! (and obviously to Mikan)" That line surprised many in the class. Luna was not happy about it. She started coughing at Natsume and some blood came out of her mouth. Given Natsume's personality, he had no choice but to give in.

Then, Sumire and the rest were discussing about that girl. Sumire thought that she was a frightening girl, one of them agreed with her while another person pointed that she was not weak physically but using that as a stunt to get to her way.

The discussion went on to that they were surprised that such people with such Alice type do exist and how tough their life would be. Mikan then gave some thought about that girl's Alice type -- Life would be shortened each time Alice is used. She wondered if Natsume's mission over since the last incident (the Flower Princess case). Just then, Luna said that she's going to show the class her Alice. That attracted many's attention including Mikan's. Just as Luna was going to execute her Alice she said; "Hmm? i am sure that i am using my Alice already..." a boy asked; "What happened?" Luna continue; "Sorry.. I am tired already. I am afraid that i can't use my Alice any further. I am sure that I have used my Alice but it felt that something had erased it..." Then, the group of people around Luna turned to look at Mikan. Mikan was taken back because that was totally unexpected. But of course, Mikan did nothing. Her classmates were suspicious of that too, knowing how weak Mikan is at using her Alice. However, that caught Natsume's and You-chan's attention who were at the back of the class. Mikan said; "What?! Wait! Di..Did i nullify Koizumi-san's Alice?" The word "Nullify" caught Luna's attention. Then Mikan proceeded on giving Luna a self-introduction of herself that she is Sakura Mikan, Nullificaion Alice. Luna's facial expression then began to change (it was scary). Natsume & You-chan had been watching at the back. Luna began stretching her hand to touch Mikan. Just as she was about to do that, Hotaru pushed Mikan aside while Natsume held Luna's hand so that she could not get near Mikan. Mikan was not sure what happened but she was shocked. Just then, lesson resumed. Luna pretended that nothing had happened before and told Natsume; "Let's sit together, Natsume."

Mikan could not take the fact that Natsume and Luna actually held hands and sat together. Narumi then knew that Natsume had sensed something about the new girl. Natsume was 'forced' to sit with Luna because he suspected that Luna was somebody sent to be against of Mikan. Mikan was totally confused as she remembered that earlier Natsume told her to stay at her seat and now he is with another girl (does it suggest that she was jealous?) In the meantime, Narumi thought he would want to decide on the groupings for the Sports Festival.

The scene then changed to Imai Subaru and Sakurano Syuuichi. Syuuichi told Subaru that Natsume seems to have noticed about the new student. Subaru then said that if he did not realise anything it would be a headache because it can only be him to protect Mikan. However, there seemed to be another one protecting Mikan. (in fact, there are many people out there looking out for Mikan) Just then at the classroom, You-chan was playing with Mikan. You-chan had been in the classroom with them. But all he did was to sleep. If he was not sleeping, he would be daydreaming...

And finally, the teams for the sports festival had been decided. There will be 2 teams, and the members in there are grouped according to their Alice class.

Red Team : Potential Class & Special Class

White Team: Technical Class & Physical Class

As for the Dangerous Class, they have the freedom to choose between the 2.

Mikan then turned to look at Natsume and Luna came into the picture again. She said; "I am in the Physical Class. You will come right? White Team."

Mikan was not happy again. She asked Natsume if he was really going over to the White Team. She was thinking; "i don't want!" in her heart. While Natsume was reminded of what he was told about what the school would do to Mikan, if he behaves like a good boy. Mikan then said; "Don't go! I wish you could come over to the Red Team!" Natsume wanted to be with Mikan (even if he was not asked) but upon thinking about what the school might do to her, he joined the White Team. Luna was pleased but Ruka was speechless. The line that Natsume told Ruka was reminded at the background; "Ruka, i am protecting her using my way. You too, protect her using your way.." Mikan was even more puzzled because Natsume's behavior had been weird then and now.

Gakuen Alice 77

This chapter opens up with a dialogue between Narumi & Mikan's mother.
It appears that Mikan's mother knows something about the Principal's ALICE. Nothing detail was mentioned but Narumi assured her that no matter what happens, he would protect Mikan. Then, the Principal, Narumi and Tonouchi, they were discussing about the punishments for Natsume and all for causing the big ruckus at the New Year Party (some chapters back.. that Princess party). It seems that they would be locking Natsume up some day. Just then, the line that the principal told Mikan at the Christmas party; "Be careful not to lose any thing precious..."

Meanwhile, Mikan had a very bad dream about Persona chasing after her. Her mood was totally affected by it that she did not change for breakfast. It seems that she has been having the same dreams for quite a period of time. During breakfast, Mikan asked about Natsume but was told by Ruka that he has not yet returned to his room as usual. Mikan was puzzled as to where Natsume could be since school's starting. Iinchou then suggested that perhaps he had to attend to a meeting since there will be a change to the student council group. Mikan and her classmates has been promoted to Elementary 6, thus it marked a new school term. There's a change in the student council. Sakurano Syuuichi is no longer the head of the Student Council, but Goshima Hijiri. Mikan thought that Goshima senpai was gentle-looking and was glad that someone like him took over Sakurano senpai for the position. While Goshima senpai made his speech, Mikan spotted Natsume somewhere on stage. She felt that she has not seen him for a long time. Just then, in Goshima's speech, he said that he wishes everyone to throw away the old rules and system that the old Student Council had set. He had set up a new group called, Fuukitai. That team was set up due to the ruckus that Natsume and friends had caused during the New Year Party. With that team around, actions of students were closely observed and that if any student were to offend any rules, they will be serverely punished. After hearing that, Mikan was reminded of that line that she was told by the Principal in the Christmas Party.During lesson time, a member of Fuukitai was assigned to watch over the class as lesson was conducted. Thanks to that, the class atmosphere was not good. Mikan asked about Natsume again but was told by Ruka that he is not coming to class. Mikan was disappinted because he was present during the ceremony. Then, Ruka recalled what Natsume told him some where when he, Natsume and You-chan were present. Ruka asked Natsume what had happened. Natsume should have already been released from the clutches of Persona, but apparently, he was not. And even though Natsume tried to hide about the conditions of his body, Ruka knew that he had been admited to the hospital several times. Natsume told Ruka not to worry about him and he added; "It's something that I've decided for myself. It's alright." Ruka; "Natsume..." Natsume; "I have decided to protect Mikan. In order to do that, it's best for me to remain like this. I am going to protect her using my way. Ruka, you too. Protect her using your way. I am using this way to find out some things that i wanted to know."

He was reminded of a conversation that he had overheard about the authorities discussing about the punishments for Mikan and the conversation with someone that I am not sure if it was the Principal or Goshima. Apparently, the principal/Goshima wanted Natsume to do something. He promised that he would not do anything bad so long as Natsume behaves and that he would transfer Youichi to the Physical class (same class as Ruka) or wherever so long as Natsume "behaves". Then, Natsume left Ruka and You-chan. Meanwhile he was thinking; "And.. how much more..." He coughed blood; "How much more time I do have, left over in this body...the time to protect my precious ones..."

At the Normal class. Mikan was all excited to annouce some news but her mood got drenched when she spotted a member of Fuukitai. Later she realised that Tsubasa was not there. When she asked for his whereabouts, she was told by Misaki that he left for somewhere and had not returned. When she asked about Tsubasa from Noda-chi, he told her some things about good part time job and told her much nonsense that she did not understand. When she later asked Tono about it, Tono said that he had not heard anything. Mikan felt that Tsubasa was becoming like Natsume and she didn't understand. (Mikan felt that she had not seen Natsume for a long time. And she finally saw him at the school ceremony, she thought that Natsume felt different, it was like he had matured a lot.) Tono then asked about the news that she was about to announce earlier, she said; "There are 3 news!! The first one, there's gonna be a spring Sports Day event next month!" Sadly, none of the seniors seemed interested because it was nothing new to them. The sports day event thingy was held annually. The 2nd news was about some new students training for a teaching position. Her seniors did not look surprise because they had already known. But then Mikan added that it was the student that was the big news. It turned out that the teacher-to-be was a former 'principal'. They were Hotaru's brother and the other girl who hangs around with them. Mikan was excited to tell her seniors that her ALICE was "Neiiro" (to tone something).

The reactions she got from her seniors were nothing more than, "You know a lot..." Mikan was quite depressed by that because she expected more. Meanwhile, Hotaru was being mean to her brother. She asked him quite a number of questions when she has alredy known the answers. Hotaru kept asking her brother questions, while her brother kept answering. However, poor Hotaru's brother, he got commented that he was not behaving maturely because they sorta ended up 'arguing' with each other.

Then, Tono suspected that both Sakurano and Imai (Hotaru's brother) had taken up this teacher-training thingy because both of them had suspected things are not going to be friendly around Mikan. However, he was not sure why the both of them were willing to do up to that extend. Tono was actually told by Narumi to test the hearts of Imai and Sakurano. Narumi wanted to know how much the 2 of them were willing to do for the school principal, and what they were planning in their hearts and if they are planning something bad, at least they could be stopped on time. Narumi holds high expectations on Tono actually. Just then, Mikan called out to Tono. Tono brought her up on his laps. Tono then asked Mikan about the 3rd news. Mikan said that from tomorow onwards, there will be a new transferred student to her class. Finally, her seniors looked surprised. Mikan was happy because of that. And, she said that it was about time for her to leave. Before she left, Tono asked if Sakurano told her anything. Mikan replied; "Oh yes.. now that you mentioned... he told me not to be caught by the Fuukidai and that not to get near him and Imai unnecessarily." Tono was surprised to hear that from Mikan.
Mikan was on her way back and she spotted Natsume. She shouted to him, wanting to ask where he had been these days, but Natsume ran so that Mikan had to chase after him. After Mikan ran after him for a while, he stopped without warning

so that Mikan bumped into him on his back. He then turned to face Mikan with the most gentle smile ever and said; " You ran hard... is that the kind of face you show me after not seeing each other for so long?" Mikan stared at Natsume for a while as she thought that Natsume felt different and that he had grown taller. It was quite a bit of silent moment,

Natsume broke it by asking; " What is it? " Mikan then started; "Natsume...it was said that you went away for a while..what kind of training was it?" In her heart she wondered what kind of life Natsume had when she was not around... Looks like Mikan had mistaken that Natsume went into the moutains to train or something because Natsume went; "this guy is unbelivable..." followed by, "You will live a long life." and went away. Mikan was rather angry to hear that remark from Natsume. And they started quarrelling again. On the other hand, a student seems to have arrived to the academy.

There is a student will be leaving the academy named Hoshino Hoshio, commonly known as "Hoshyan" in his Special class with the Weather Control ALICE. The weather gets affected according to his mood. If he's sad, it'll be raining, if he's happy, it'll be sunny, if he's gloomy, the sky will look gloomy as well and if he's feeling blessed, a rainbow would appear. It's no good.. so he has to wear something to control his ALICE. Apparently, he's wearing a mask all the time and he's not able to talk. He can only write if he wants to communicate something.However, his Alice exists only as a child, so as his ALICE diminishes as he aged. Just like Mikan, he belongs to the Special Class. On the day that he was about to leave, his classmates from the Special class gave their ALICE Stones to him for keepsake. He accepted all of them, but Mikan's... That made Mikan cried a lot..On the last day of his schooling days at the academy, a rainbow appeared on the sky when his parents came to pick him up.

Continuing from the previous chapter, Mikan and her friends were on this idea of forming their own music band so that they will be able to perform on graduation day. However, because Mikan had registered her group later, she and her group were not able to perform.While she was feeling gloomy, Hotaru used one of her inventions (apparently a huge foot) to shake her from her misery, and said: " what are you worrying about at your own pace? if you're not helping, then get away from there quickly!"Students from the B class were all helping Otonashi with her luaggage packing in her room. While everyone was helping with the cleaning up and all (and Hotaru kicking Mikan) Iinchou tried encouraging Mikan: "We have no choice, Mikan, since it has all been decided. Our badn can play perhaps, in the house during the farewell."Mikan replied, "you're right but...."Mikan was not happy because she felt that there was no unity in the class.Meanwhile, Nonoko mentioned that Sumire's band group seemed to be lacking people in playing and she tried asking Ruka to play for her. While some students (like Mikan) were worried for her band, some were cheering because she has got not enough people... (even Hotaru sighed when she saw some students cheering) Just then, that bald headed guy who keeps following Natsume, finally said something useful; "you people... what you all have been discussing since earlier, do you intend to let our graduates and let them have that memory in their hearts before they leave?" And some people who have heard of the rumour that Mikan's band and Sumire's band had quarrelled, began to feel worried for them and wonder if they would patch up before the graduation ceremony. Then, a random student (believed to be one of the graduates) requested Otonashi to make a prediction on whether those kidswill patch up after they have graduated. While Otonashi made the prediction, someone found some photo albums. There were loads of photos when the students were in Class.Mikan asked at what age did her classmates enter the academy, someone replied: "me, 5 years old!’’ Iinchou, Nonoko, Anna came into the academy when they were 7 while Kokoroyomi went in when he was 6. Then, Mikan discovered a photo with Sumire and Kokoroyomi together. Mikan commented that Kokoroyomi was expressionless, he replied that he had been set as an expressionless character since a long time ago and that he had gone through an image change. Mikan did not understand what that means... she thought that was a deep one. Just then, a student in cat costume said: "Oh yea! When was the time when Kokoroyomi became a happy character?" Kitsuneme-kun replied: " Hmmm... the time when he and Perm were partners? " Mikan was very surprised to hear that!! And they continued that before that, Kokoroyomi was dark and nobody could guess what is going on in his mind. Before the image change, Kokoroyomi was not well-liked by others because of his ALICE. People hated their hearts to be read, thus nobody were willing to get near him but Sumire.After the image change, when Sumire started being friends with Kokoroyomi, he became more friendly. Then, the student in cat costume realised that it was Sumire's effort that had changed Kokoroyomi and Kitsuneme-kun agreed that since then Kokoroyomi had become more approachable. And then, Mikan got 'bullied' by the other students and she was sent to pour away the rubbish. On her way to the rubbish bin, she met Ruka and Natsume.(yay!!)Both of them were playing with some Hanabi (fire works)

An interesting conversion started between them:Ruka: ‘’I see.. as usual, Sakura is worried about Shoda..’’Mikan (surprised): ‘’EH?! How did you know??!!’’Natsume: ‘’i don't wish to reply....’’Ruka: ‘’Wh..why.. you said...’’Then Natsume told Mikan to forget about Shoda (i can't believe he called her name!!) because even brats have times bad times relating with humans and no matter how different and how bad each of us are from each other, it would always be good to point them out and tell it. He added that he felt that the other kids will start to realise this point too.Mikan then teased him by commenting that he had been observing.Natsume replied, "shut up!"Back to the classroom, Mikan thought that it would be nice for them to patch up with Sumire before the graduation ceremony. And that she would love them to join in her band for the concert because she only have enough people to play the violin, piano and keyboard.She already have in her mind a perfect plan to patch things up with Sumire, that is to have her group, which was named, the Heta Group (the clumsy group) to blend into the music with their instruments while Sumire and her team were playing. Though Iinchou, Nonoko and Anna were doubtful of her plan, they were in for it~While some students thought that it was pathetic.... (Ruka was with sewat drops while Natsume was speechless in the background)Finally!! The graduation ceremony had started!!! The graduates walked on stage as the school sings the school anthem. While someone (i believe it was Iinchou) gave a speech on behalf of the other students that were not graduating, Nonoko told Mikan that there was no sign of Sumire around, she wondered if Sumire could be in another room while preparing for her performance. At last, it was time for Sumire's band to perform. In came a HUGE machine in the form of a buddha with hands, holding different instruments with Sumire controlling it and 2 other boys playing the keyboard and piano. Everyone was surprised, including Hotaru's brother and Syuuichi. It turned out that Hotaru was the maker of that machine.She receive a sum of money from that and that she told Sumire that if anything happened to that machine, she would not be responsible. (apparently no one was enjoying the music...)And it happened!! The machine brokedown!!! The atmosphere around the graduating hall was bad.... Then, Kokoroyomi stood up from his seat. Sitting beside him was Kitsuneme-kun. He was surprised that Kokoroyomi had the intention to go on stage and helped her.Kokoroyomi explained that Perm seemed to be regretting and that it was the first time Perm showed a lonely face. Natsume stood up too!! He got on stage before Kokoroyomi did after listening to what he said!! He helped himself to the saxophone that he was not good at playing, followed by Ruka and the rest went on stage, took the instruments that they had been practicing the last time from the machine. Sumire was very touched. Then Mikan shouted; " Faster Perm!! Come down!! Everyone's waiting!! Let's do it together!! " Sumire almost cried, and she got off the machine to join everyone with the band.


Sumire was playing the violin beside Kokoroyomi. He read her heart and said: "Hm. I am sorry too." Sumire replied angrily; "WH.. WHAT?! Reading my heart on your own!!!" And then, the ceremony ended amongst the clappings and blessings. Otonashi gave a long farewell about her life in the academy and that she had found herself precious friends and that she and her friends are the most blessed people thanks to her teachers. She felt that the academy had become her second home.They took a final class photo, after which, Mikan was crying her eyes out holding a bouquet of roses and people behind were hugging and stuff... Then, Narumi praised Otonashi that she had made a wonderful farewell speech. Otonashi told Narumi that she made a prediction on the day's graduation and a little bit of the other students' future.She told him that the future will change a little from today on and that those kids will sure be fine. Narumi told her that he agreed. Lastly, a word of blessing from the the class, they congratulated Otonashi for graduating.

Gakuen Alice 74

Mikan and friends (Kokoroyomi, Tsubasa, Hotaru and Iinchou etc) were a little curious about this event. They went to take a peak at the ceremony. But because Mikan was so noisy, she got kicked out in the middle of a speech given by Sakurano Syuuichi (Hotaru's brother was present too) As they were walking towards the Elementary department, Tsubasa told Mikan that students who are aged 20, they will leave the academy. In Japan, when a kid reach 20 years, there is a special ceremony for them. It's called Seijinshiki (Literally means "Adult Ceremony"). So the graduation ceremony is more or less something like an Adult Ceremony for students who have reached the age of 20 years old. She was all excited about doing something for the graduates. However, in the Elementary department, there is one graduate. She will be promoted to the Junior department come Spring. She's Otonashi-san. It was not until she was told by Permy that it is nothing near a happy occasion because someone will be leaving. Otonashi's room will be moved as well. Then, Iinchou proposed an idea supporting Mikan's. He thought that it was rather sad that they could do nothing but just stare plainly at their friend while she leaves after going through so much with her. (The Gakuen festival and all..) So he thought the class could do a band performance as a 'welcome' thingy for Otonashi to her next level of studies in the Academy. And so the class agreed. Both Natsume and Ruka took part. Each of the students picked some instruments that they would like to play in the band. This was what each of them picked.

Mikan - Recorder (because that's the only instrument she knows how to play)

Hotaru - Cymbals

Kokoroyomi & Kitsunemekun - Drums (different types)

Ruka - a set of Glockenspiel (because he likes them)

Natsume - Saxaphone *whitles*

Iinchou - Flute

Sumire - Violin (because she's good at it)

Anna & Nonoko - Instruments made by Misaki-sensei

So, Sumire appointed herself as the leader of the band. She was picky towards everyone but Natsume. All right, our Natsume here actually has a weak point. (besides Mikan) He's weak against playing the saxophone. He tried blowing into the instrument, he produced a really weird sound and sort of died away. Sumire had some opinions on the instruments each of the students picked and she started critisizing people really harsh because there was no music. There was only noise. Thus conflict happened between she and Kokoroyomi! So Sumire stomped out of the room almost in tears because of what Kokoroyomi had said. He was angry because no one had appointed her to do the leading and that with no reason, he had to listen to her instructions. He argued that since she finds all of them sucked, they are quitting.Mikan then tried to persuade the class to continue in doing this but she got a cold blanket.Then she went out of the classroom and gave Sumire a chase. She tried persuading Sumire for another chance but she got scolded by her out of frustration instead. Then as Mikan was sobbing, Ruka on the other hand played his Glockenspiel because kids from the A class wanted to practice their song. It was only then that Mikan calmed down and she tried talking with the class to blend in with the tune Ruka was playing. (Natsume tried to blend in, but he did not seem to be controlling his saxophone well however, he had improved since his first few blows into the instrument) At the end, there was melody altogether. In the meantime, while Sumire was still outside of thre classroom thinking, Ruka and Mikan had a little conversation. Mikan: "If only Sumire and all can return..." Ruka: "Perhaps she does not want to return to us because our music sucks so badly, but it's fun that all of our sounds are able to blend as one. If the percentage of 'fun' stands higher, there can only be more fun." Mikan was surprised, then Ruka added: "What a thing to say. I was thinking if it's Sakura, you would be thinking this way, so i imitated you." That sent Mikan going: "What do you mean?" Mikan gave a little thought and she thought that even though we may be near or far, we are moving in this together. Just then, Iinchou caught sight of the little notes that Sumire had jotted down earlier while lecturing the students. He saw that Sumire had actually taken into account each student's behaviour and habit. He went out of the classroom in search of Sumire only to find her missing. Just then, a word from Jino came. There were 2 bands from the Elementary school that wanted to take part in the graduation ceremony. Sadly, Mikan's group was rejected because Sumire had entered her group first. And Jino said that in order to participate, the band must be of certain standard.

Gakuen Alice 73

Soon it'll be Valentine in the academy but the boys in that school do not seem to be happy. As what Tsubasa had explained to Mikan, he said that because Valentine's Day is a scary event for popular boys in the academy. He was told by Misaki that he was talking as though he is popular. Mikan then answered: "but isn't Valentine's a good event when ladies would make their loved ones a piece of chocolate full of love?" Tsubasa; "This is the Alice Academy, it is impossible to just make simple chocolates.

So then, Mikan, Hotaru and Iinchou went over to the chocolate factory, rather shocked to see some students making a huge pot of chocolate with weird ingredients in it. They saw Narumi-sensei and he explained about how Valentine's is celebrated in the academy by making different kinds of chocolates with special ingredients added in for some effects. For example, some girls would add in some ingredients they made themselves with their alices and add into chocolates with the effect of showing affection to someone immediately. Or some girls would add in something they would like to see happening on the other party into their chocolates and give them to some guys that they like so that they could see the effects. Boys who receive those chocolates were not possible for them to know what is inside of their chocolates. Mikan and the other girls who were present, (Sumire and Nonoko) were interested and were looking forward to the chocolate making session. Mikan was excited over her attempt of making such mystery chocolates.

Over here, came Kokoroyomi-kun and Kitsuneme-kun cosplaying in My Melody (representing Ruka) and Hello Kitty (representing Natsume) respectively asking Mikan: "After you've made your chocolates, who would you give them to?" Mikan was thinking at the foreground, while Kokoroyomi and Kituneme were pointing at Ruka (looking at Mikan) and Natsume (reading a book). Thus, Mikan looked away and replied; "Ev...everyone..?" Both Kokoroyomi and Kitsuneme flashed a No (Kitsuneme) Thank You (Kokoroyomi) sign on their palms while both Ruka and Natsume stole a glance at Mikan whining after seeing that "No Thank You" words. And the girls began making their chocolates with the boys shut outside of the room. A sign of "DO NOT PEEP!" was hung at the door knob. Ruka was playing with his bunny while Natsume slept with a book over his face. Mikan saw the expensive ingredients that Hotaru would be using for her chocolate, she felt a little depress. Despite the "DO NOT PEEP!" sign, both Kokoroyomi and Kitsuneme peeped into the room and they thought what the girls were doing was scary.

Mikan had gotten her chocolates ready and was about to distrubute them to everyone in the classroom but she was surprised to see that there was no one left in the classroom. All the boys had escaped. Sumire went into her cat-dog mode to look for the boys that she wanted to give her chocolates to, while Hotaru went for the sky to search for her target. Mikan seemed to have misunderstood the real celebration of Valentine's Day. She thought that giving chocolates out during Valentine's is actually such a tough chore and so she had to work hard so that she could find someone to give his chocolate to.

So first, she thought she would first make a list of people that she would want to give her chocolates to. Then, the classroom door was opened. In came..... RUKA-pyon! He was hiding away from some of his fangirls and so he ended himself up at that classroom where Mikan was. He was not the usual Ruka-pyon though. He had rabbit's ears grown on his head. Just as he was about to explain about the growth of his rabbit's ears, he heard the girls voices looking for him. Thus, both Ruka and Mikan hid under a table together. (And they were about 2cm close to each other) In there, Ruka explained that some girls in the middle school department forced some chocolates into his mouth and as a result, rabbit ears were grown on his head. (Poor thing) He apologised to Mikan that he had gotten her involved in this 'escaping' thing. Mikan was not affected by this little trouble though. As the two of them were alone under the table, Mikan was reminded of the alice stone myth in the academy.

She got all uneasy and she called out Ruka's name while Ruka called out Mikan's name. Both of them found themselves looking at each other face to face. Mikan felt so embarrassed that she shoved her packet of chocolates directly at Ruka's face. She apologised immediately though. Then she continued: "i.. i made those chocolates, nobody still wants them yet.. if it's ok with you, Ruka-pyon, would you be the first one to accept them?" Ruka then blushed and replied: " I thought you've been avoiding me since the last time.. and now, you've seen me in this state (referring to his ears), i thought today is the worst day ever... Thank you." Then, the girls that were looking for Ruka discovered something that belongs to him nearby. That led Ruka into escaping again. He said goodbye to Mikan hastily and Mikan told him to be careful in return. After Ruka left, Mikan was left alone in the classroom blushing. She thought Ruka-pyon is not good for the heart! Valentine's Day is more tiring than she thought! She thought that she should work hard and look for others so that she could pass them her chocolates. Before she left, she dropped one of the packets in the classroom unknowingly and gone. After some time, one of the tiles at the ceiling fell off. Out came, NATSUME! (And Ruka and Mikan thoguht they were alone) He picked up the packet of chocolate on the floor, opened it and ate one of them! As he ate the chocolate, he was thinking about what Mikan had said to Ruka earlier; "Ruka-pyon, would you be the first one to accept them?" Tsubasa, who was hiding in one of the bushes, called out to Mikan. When MIkan went over, she was surprised to see Tono-senpai and Megane-senpai. The 3 of them were hiding. After asking what happened, Tsubasa lifted his right hand that had turned into snake, Megane-senpai had a stalk of flower grown on his head while Tono-senpai had pig nose on his face. Upon seeing thre pig nose on Tono's face, Mikan and Tsubasa attempted to laugh but was told off severely by Tono. Too bad for Tono, his picture was taken by one of the members ambushed long ago in the one of the trees. After taking Tono's photo, that member ran away in front of Tono. On the other hand, Hotaru gave her chocolate away to none other than her dearest brother in the academy. But, both of them were staring at each other with Hotaru looking hopeful that her brother would accept her chocolates. His best friend, Syuuichi, was at the side telling Hotaru's brother to accept the chocolates in rather mushy words. He said: "Subaru, you would have to accept it. Afterall, your sister had survived from all that had happened in the past and is thanking you for all your help by making those chocolates with all her heart. If you do not finish all of them, it would look as though you're rejecting her heart..." One of their female friends at the side commented to Syuuichi: "You looked like you're enjoying, Syuuichi-kun."

Back to Tono-senpai and gang. Thanks to Tono, the rest of them were chasing after that little News Club member for the photo. In the midst of their run, Hotaru spotted Misaki-sensei and passed him her chocolates. While the rest of the boys, Natsume and Ruka were busy running away from crazy girls. Just then, Mikan spotted Natsume and shouted out to him, and at the same time, somebody threw something at Mikan's direction. Just as that thing was about to hit Mikan, Natsume caught it in time but because he had his mouth opened, one of the weird ingredients flew into his mouth. He had just eaten a medicine that will cause him to show great affection to someone. Everyone panicked. Tsubasa was in front of him, he lost control and hugged Tsubasa and pushed him down to the ground holding his right hand. Of course, that was a big scoop for the News Club. While members of the News Club took more photos of them, Mikan left the scene and she saw Narumi-sensei. Mikan was puzzled because Narumi does not look worried or something then she found out that Narumi has been hiding away from girls at first but he felt unwell later on so he hid in the hospital for a while. He came out because he felt that the school has calmed down a bit. Mikan cried to Narumi that she had made chocolates that would bring happiness but not many people had gotten them yet. Upon looking at thre basketful og chocolates, Narumi took one of them and ate it. He faked that the chocolates tasted awful at first then cracked in to smile saying that he was only kidding and that the chocolates did make him feel a little bit of happiness and that he body is feeling a lot better than before. He added that it would be too pitiful for Mikan if no one eats her chocolates since she made it with all her heart. Mikan held hands with Narumi as they walked. And Mikan spotted some scars on Narumi sensei's left hand. She asked about that injury, he just replied: "I wonder... maybe i hurt myself while doing some gardening earlier. I guess i should get some medicine from Misaki sensei."

However, Mikan felt that those injuries on Narumi's left hand were familar. But she was not sure where she had seen them on.

Same days after the valentine's event, Natsume, Tsubasa, Ruka and Tono were on headlines. Ruka and Tono were captured because of their Rabbit ears and pig nose respectively while Natsume and Tsubasa were rated for the BEST COUPLE. Naturally, Tsubasa was hit by Natsume on the head. Tsubasa complained: "Why am i hit???!!!"

Gakuen Alice 72

Mikan was walking and she seemed to be seeing this stone on the floor. She tried ignoring it the first time but it seemed to be 'following' her. Then she decided to keep it. She felt a bit bad for taking something that does not belong to her so she announced to the whole class that she had picked up something because it seemed to be telling her to keep it~ Then after checking it with Narumi sensei, he said that the possibility of that stone to be an alice stone is high.After which, it was the first lesson for the Elementary students to learn how to make an alice stone. Over here, the colours of various teachers' alice stones were revealed.

Misaki sensei = Blue-green

Serina sensei = Rose-Purple

BlueNoda sensei (unfortunately he was not present...) = Light Green (close to green tea color)

Narumi sensei = Pink-purple

So because Noda sensei was absent, Tonouchi senpai was asked to relieve him. Sadly, he was not very well-respected by the students... Hotaru greeted him: "Hi, Baka Tono", Kokoroyomi-kun greeted him: "Perverted Tono" while Natsume greeted him: "Idiot Tono, Shitty Tono". Proceeding on with the lesson, Sumire told Mikan to let Tono senpai have a look at the stone that she had picked up earlier to further confirm if that stone was an alice stone. She agreed. Tono said that it was indeed an alice stone. That stone has the ability of teleportation. However the colour was not very much of a teleportation stone because it was Aqua Marine. He then further added that perhaps that person who created that stone was thinking of someone he loved deeply that was why he was able to create a stone with such a pretty colour. Immediately, his words went into both Natsume and Ruka's ears. They were curious to know who made that stone because Tono said it was some fate that had brought Mikan and that stone together. On the other hand, Sumire asked Natsume that why was he not making his stone, Narumi answered that he had already learnt that. All the other students were not happy about that. So then it was time for Mikan to make her stone. Before that, Tono taught her that to create a good stone, one must thought of the person's feelings when he or she used her stone. The amount of feelings that the maker put in, the better the alice stone will become. On that, the other students were discussing some lengendary stories that has been passing on in the school. One of them was the alice stone story.That is, the meaning of exchanging one's alice stone with another person means that the two of them will be together and that the person who gave his or her stone is proposing to another. Upon listening to that, Mikan was shocked because she remembered the promise she had made with Ruka by the lake on exchanging stones when they grew up. She became conscious of what she had said much earlier (on vol 7) to Ruka and she was afraid that if Ruka had known about the story on the stone, it would have become a love promise that she made with Ruka. Unconsiously, she looked at Ruka with a shocked expression that attracted the attention of Tono, Natsume and Hotaru. And she had also recalled what Natsume said to her the other time at the lake when she was about to tell Natsume that she would give her stone to him. At this point, both Hotaru and Iinchou had their stones done. Their results had impressed the other students. Hotaru's alice stone was purple while Iinchou got Emerald green. Upon seeing the two of them with their stones, Mikan thought she should brush up on her stone too. However, besides Hotaru and Iinchou, none of the students were able to create a stone. All the others got a fragment only. Then one of them suggested that the students should exchange their stones with one another as a souvenir. Then someone suggested to do the exchange the stone by playing the "Dark Alice Stone" game. That is, to turn off the lights in the room and grab somebody in the dark by random, and when the lights were turned on again, whoever that a person grabs, gets to keep the stone of that person caught. Mikan was totally into the game but the rest like Hotaru were not. Then, Tono gave some examples to 'encourage' participation. He said to Iinchou; "For example, if you want to see the effects of Kokoroyomi using Ruka's animal alice stone..." And over here, Iinchou used his illusion alice to show what might happened, some students began to show interests after seeing Iinchou's illusion. He continued; "for example, if Hotaru used Nonoko-chan's alice (chemical making) stone..." And lastly; " for example, if Ruka used Sumire's stone..." What Tono said had also interested the teachers (Narumi to be specific). Everyone started to eye on the people that they wanted to see the kind of results that will appear around them. Ruka was heavily targeted by Sumire. Everyone but Mikan was targeted. Mikan was depressed because she thought that no one would want her Nullification alice. She then began to think who would need her alice most, and she concluded that it has to be Natsume. She could not care less about how she had made the stone (she thought that her feelings for the person might be using her stone was not strong enough), she wanted to find Natsume in the dark. Just then, the stone that she had picked up earlier began to work. That someone who had made that stone had made a wish on it that said; "May the road that you would be taking would be less bumpy". And that wish was coming true as Mikan searched for Natsume. In Mikan's heart, she was praying hard that she would bump into Natsume and true enough, when the lights were on, Natsume was right beside her. Natsume was surprised to see her. While Mikan got Natsume, Sumire got Ruka, and Tono was caught by Hotaru.

Mikan held Natsume's hand and told him with a smile; "My intuition, BINGO! I know that nobody would want my alice stone anyway, but at least it could control your alice." And she handed her stone to him. And she continued: "My stone is just like my name, it's Orange. You can't tell because it's small though” Then she remembered the words that Natsume told her by the lake that she should only put her concentration on making her alice stone for Ruka only. So she added that it was not that kind of exchange thing, and with her strength, that was all she could make.

Natsume clenched Mikan's stone in his palm. That marked the end of the alice stone making session. On to the High School department, two students were talking about Sakurano's alices. Two of them were teleportation and intuition but they could not remember the other. (so the maker of the stone is clear that it was Sakurano. Maybe his third ALICE is 'Wish/Prayer' or something. On the next day when Mikan wakes up, she found a package by her window. It was that present that Natsume had prepared for her birthday but because of the many things that happened, he had no chance to give it to her.

Mikan was surprised and she opened the package even to find herself more surprised to receive a red alice stone. (people scream) She suspected the sender to be Natsume but she dare not confirm. Anyhow, she thought that the stone was pretty.

Gakuen Alice 71

February is closing in, but nobody got demoted or lost any stars as yet. This leads to some excessive merriment at the expense of poor Ruka. His grand gesture in the end of chapter 70 is not something anyone could pass a chance to crack a joke about, since he got to keep all of his starts despite the big talking. Even Natsume couldn't resist the tempatation. What to say about the delightful absolutely tactless Hotaru-chan and kokoroyomi-kun? They are positively overjoyed. Mikan's sticking to Hotaru, hugging and babbling nonsense, which cause people to wonder what's wrong with Imai-san. Pama finds it particularly disturbing. Normally Hotaru would've hit her a long time ago. What's going on? Iincho remembers what Hotaru told him: "I just put the things in perspective. When I saw her lifeless and unmoving, I thought that this, noisy way, she's much better." Mikan is overjoyed because she understood that Hotaru really cares for her. Tsubasa-sempai tells her that it was Hotaru who asked her brother to treat Mikan and to be admitted to hospital. And she was nursing (kanbyou) Mikan all the time she was unconscious. Hotaru's brother confirmed the story, that it was his sister who asked him for help: "I want you to tell her... that I want her to hurry up and bring that thing we talked about". Then he adds: "you seem to be a very important person for my sister. To think that that sister would rely on me... would ask me for help... or perhaps it's just that I don't know her at all." Hotaru's older brother: "Take good care of my sister... So that she would bring the thing we've agreed upon the soonest possible" So Mikan is all lovey-dovey. Hotaru's bearing as well as she can. But while Iincho is in the midst of remebering what hotaru told him she understood and how that noisy and lovey-dovey Mikan is better than the lifeless form, as Pama says: "Oh, good. All's well". Hotaru's newly acquired patience was short-termed. Mikan was set flying in the opposite direction.Meanwhile the two characters that the least being hugged by Mikan are near the tree. It's a chapter of reminiscencing actually since that's what everyone's doing. Natsume has got a present in his hand, which he hides in his pocket as Ruka makes the appearance.

Natsume doesn't miss out on an opportunity to tease his friend and greets him: "Hey, A no star failure!" (The one who couldn't become a no star) Ruka gets all embarassed. Natsume laughs and Ruka says. "It reminds me a lot, this tree. I could never have imagined that some day you would laugh like that (like now). Your smile... it's Sakura who made it, right? That's why you've decided to stay at school to protect her, right?"

Natsume replies: "Yeah. From now on I want to protect her from everything that would be trying to block her way"

Ruka: "Me too, I will protect sakura. I won't loose to Natsume. And also Natsume's smile that I also want to protect"

But then the mangaka had to explain Natsume's escape somehow. Figures he was not extremely popular among sempais - since he's something representative for no obvious reason. Thing were going rather rough for everyone. Besides there were all these rumours about how he killed his family and the like. And then one of the pupils talking says something along the lines: "No, his dad's arrive and writing letters everyday. Only they are not being transmitted. My grand dad works there, so he knows." Natsume stops to ask questions and the guys propose a deal - If Natsume's so cool as he's made out to be, he'll sneak out of school and then return at the end of the day without anyone noticing. If he's able to do that, they will sneak in a letter from his Dad. Of course Natsume knows full well they are not going to keep their promise, because it's too dangerous for the weaklings of the sort and that they just want to see Natsume fall from his position. But Natsume is in doubt.Ruka sees it and says: "Natsume, let's run away for a while for our own sake. Not because someone told us but to get a break. I know you want to do it. It’s written all over your face. If only for a single day, we might feel better after a bit of freedom". Then those guys who have set them up, drop a note about intended escape near the teacher's office and Narumi picks it up.

Gakuen Alice 70

Mikan's suffering, running high temperature and all covered with black burns. Suddenly people looking at her notice a strange large, disgusting stone she clutches in her hand. Surely it wasn't there before. And then the burns start disappearing gradually and the stone is changing its colour. The stone is somehow healing Mikan. It is not an alice stone and all by herself without any instruction, Mikan surely couldn't have. Sakurano suggest another idea that the stone is actually Persona's. Mikan is drawing persona's alice out of her own body and into the stone. If that is the case, then she must have another ability to steal alice out of the body. One could understand if it was hereditory, People grow silent and pensive. Ruka's remembering the woman he met with at the Medusa's lair, Hotaru's brother and Sakurano - about Yuka-sempai.

Mikan has been in hospital for a week or so, getting better and missed out on a lot, so everybody's filling her in. Yo-chan was hospitalized soon after they returned, because he won't return to his normal age. They tried to treat him but to no avail, he must be the side effect of the Gulliver candy because he's so small and he ate a lot. Now thanks to this he has a new ability to switch between ages and 70 % stretchable clothes. Aoi-chan was treated at the hospital. Her memory returned and her eyes are cured. It was decided she should leave Alice Academy and live outside since she has no alice. The departure was set for today, since it was the day Mikan was leaving hospital and Aoi-chan wanted to see Mikan before going. Aoi recognizes Mikan instantly and both are happy to see each other. Mikan was pestered by the sempais; "Try stealing my alice. Now, are you really even trying?" But to no avail. Mikan wouldn't understand what they want of her; "They don't believe it was a miracle. They think I must have done something"

Narumi read the newspapers and was pretty glad about the whole thing, since although some may not believe the papers, still people start doubting school and counteracting. Misaki can't understand why Narumi is so glad about since the paper features a certain "teacher N".

Hii-sama keeps silent about the whole affair and didn't raise too much fuss. And Mikan and the folks keep their mouth shut about the happenings in the hanahimeden. As of yet nobody was punished, neither Mikan, nor the sempais, but Tsubasa and Tono are sure that the academy's just biding its sweet time and their turn will come.

And the last part, Mikan and Aoi are prattling merrily near the school gates. Natsume looks at the crowd that is gathering and gradually and says; "I thought it was supposed to be a secret farewell" And here the reason becomes clear. Folks gathered that since Aoi, who has been tying Natsume to this school is leaving and he has no further reason to stay and might just as well try to sneak out with her and it might be their last chance to see him. So they came to see him off.

The thought is logical and strikes Mikan like a lightning; "Everyone's going to leave me. Everyone's going to go away". But Natsume says; "I'm going nowhere". He remembers the scene at the hospital where Aoi begged him to leave together and not leave her alone anymore.

But Natsume refused - he said he had friends to think of and he can't just up and away leaving Ruka and those who saved them behind. Aoi, tears in her eyes says to everyone thank you and good bye; "I'm glad I met all of you. So glad, I almost start imagining what if I still was an alice and go to this school with you all. But well. I'm going to believe we'll all meet again. I'll be waiting. Natsume, I'll be waiting at home. We'll try to make it a home you'll be glad to return to some day".

And here the parents come and Natsume and Ruka see their Dad and Mom respectively. Hugs them, school intervenes. Parents are leaving; the students are leading everyone away. Mikan is touched by what she saw and mutters; "I wonder when I will be able to see grandfather like this..." And then she remembers what they have done and finally understands; "Oh, no. Now the school will be even stricter towards us!!! Because their eyes would be on me even more than before. Meaning, the day of meeting with grandpa has moved farther from me" Hotaru rebukes; " What are you saying? That's the least of evil. Now we should expect the school to be superstrict and punish us for the slightest mistakes. Like, they might take our stars away for just about anything and so on. So we should be careful".

Mikan: "A star away?!? I would be a No-Star once again?" While Mikan is panicking and the dearest kokoroyomi-kun laughing, Ruka is thinking: "Those stars, those stars that have been tying down Natsume..." He throws them away with all his might and says to Mikan; " See, now I'm a no-star like you. I don't need them anymore." and smiles. People divide into those who admire ruka and who think it's foolish. But Mikan is smiling and Ruka's happy: "It's okay. From now on - from zero, or even from minus - from now on whatever darkness awaits us, we will become your light - all of us. If it is to protect your smile I will go with you - wherever.’’ Ruka thinks: “And Natsume also from long ago already, doesn't he intend to do the same?"

Gakuen Alice 69

They have no time to waste and they must take Mikan out of there. Tsubasa: "Hurry" Mikan:" The bruises by Persona feel hot, like they are burning...my body... like something is fighting inside me....I can hear a voice"

Voice: " Mikan whatever happens from now on, please give this child the strength to surpass it all..."

Voice: "become a strong child Mikan...."

Mikan: "who is it..."

Voice: "(strong enough) to protect yourself"

Mikan: "someone's wish...?"

Voice: "And someday (become strong enough) to protect someone important to you..."

Mikan: "...strong and kind, this voice wishing.... who is it...."

Tsubasa and the others reach Tono and Misaki and they call the hospital.

Ruka: "Sakura..."

"Persona's alice...the mark of death...." Tsubasa tells them they have to do something because Mikan is loosing conciousness. Tono-senpai replies: "IDIOT! Enhancing Mikan's alice with my own won't do any good now!" "what were you doing! Tsubasa (meaning he should have protected)" Tono will do whatever it takes but Misaki-chan call the hospital. Tono tells them though he don't know if the hopital will be capable of curing Mikan...He have never heard of anyone healing from being hit by Persona's alice. There's not even much information about him.

Hotaru: "Mikan..."

Tono-senpai:"Junior-high underground....monster..." "...now that I think about it" "maybe..." Tsubasa: "Tono?"

Tono-senpai has an idea that Hotaru’s brother may know something.

Hotaru: "my brother...?"

Tono-senpai: "I heard that when he was in elementary, he was once almost kiled by the monster from the junior-high underground, what if "the monster in the junior-high underground" was Persona...." "what if your brother was the only persona to survove Persona's alice..." Hotaru's brother: "already(just started the new year and already) coming in such a great number in the middle of the night looking like dirty old rags, what do you want "dirty old rags"" Hotaru:"I heard you were the only person to survive Persona's alice... please help Mikan, I will not bother you ever again... please just this time help us, please..."Tono uses his alice to enhance Hotaru’s borther’s alice but he tells them don’t misunderstand, it doesn't mean he know the way to cure from Persona's alice..

Hotaru’s brother: "it's trouble for me is you put you're hopes up, I am only giving urgent care until you can bring her to the hospital...for the moment, until then"

Sakurano: "There seems to be a need for you to explain without hiding any details how she came to be like this."

Tono: "...so if I put you're stories together, you sneeked out of the Junior-high principal's salon into the the off limit underground and battled. You made enemies of the kikennouryoku, got Aoi-chan out and Mikan into a critical state?"

Tono: "Don't just *kokuri*! What the hell are you doing you little snots! Don't get me into such deep troubles! anyways, you kids keep getting into deep trouble! What are you?! The gods of trouble? Listen to me!"

Sakurano: "...once again, you've created unbelievable trouble"

Sakurano: "Persona is just like the elementary principal's secret weapon. Those involved in this won't get away easily, until now...who knows what happened to those the principal had his eye on"

Principal (from Mikan's memory): “Be careful.. you might loose something important to you"

Sakurano: "well then. Get out now!....is what I'l like to say, but"

Natsume: “They were all dragged into this. It's all my fault. So that nothing happenes to anyone anymore, I'll take Aoi and get out of this school. Anyways, having gotten Aoi out this way, I have no other choice but to get out of here"

Ruka: "Natsume..."

Tsubasa: "what are you saying"
Mikan somehow hears this; Na...tsume....where... are you going? From school or somewhere"

Natsume: "Mika..."

Mikan: "Are you leaving us.....?"

Ruka: "Sakura..."

Mikan: "Natsume won't be with us anymore...? No..."

Natsume: “Wha..."

Hotaru’s brother tells them that in his beat up state with a sister that cannot see, it’s obvious he cannot get out of Academy.

Sakurano: "Even if you do escape, you'll be quickly taken back. The elemetary principal is not so soft as to forgive you're friend for this"

Ruka: “Natsume.."

Sakurano asks them what they will do about this.

Ruka: "But Aoi-chan isn't an alice anymore, why...not an alice but still gets hurt by the school, why? This isn't right! At least to give back Aoi-chan to her family... that's why Natsume..."

Natsume's father: "Aoi...Aoi..."Natsume: "Ruka..." Mikan: "Ruka-pyon..."

Tono-senpai then suggests that they make an even bigger scene, to hide what Mikan and company had done so far. Misaki-sensei and Narumi-sensei were called by the principal because of the trouble that Mikan, Natsume and etc. made. Natsume then promises Aoi that this time, he will protect her. Back to Mikan and the others, Mikan looks like different from earlier then found out there’s something wrong with Mikan’s body.

Gakuen Alice 68

"The poisoned princess enters a quiet sleep...."

Thanks To Yo-chan's alice, Yo-chan and Tsubasa were able to get away from Rui and Hayate. But Yo-chan can feel a very evil presence from far away. Mikan and the others are in danger! The black stain created by Persona crawls over Mikan's body, getting bigger and bigger, poisoning her.

Mikan: "Will I die...?" The other kiken nouryoku tells Persona that he is going too far, but Persona simply replies coldly that it was an accident, and the school know that such risks existed.

Natsume: "What the hell is accident?!.. you!"

Natsume is extremely angry, as never seen before.

Natsume: "Persona..."

But his alice is stopped by the Junior-high principal using an alice stone: "So noisy."

Hotaru tries to help with her paralized body by shooting at Persona. Persona is ready to use his alice on her, but Mikan Jumps at him once again.

Ruka: "Imai!"

Mikan: "Hotaru watch out!"

Aoi: "Mikan-chan!"

Persona: "You little"

Mikan: "Right now, on Hotaru"

Persona is extremely angry and hits Mikan once again with his alice. Mikan screams to the other not to come close to her. She is afraid that this "sickness" created by Persona on her will transfer to the others if they touch. The stain on her body is geting worse. Pain all over her body like stabbings. Persona evily tells Mikan he used some power on her thinking she had tried to use her alice on him. He tells her not to worry "even if others touch you, it will not affect them" Mikan is scared, she feels like her body is breaking apart but she is also angry: "how dare you try to use such an awful alice on Hotaru and the others! Who are you?! Why do you do such evil things? I'll never forgive you! I won't let you get your way!" Persona: "Didn't have enough yet? Next you'll die" The others yell: "Mikan!" they are afraid for her. Aoi is stunned by what Persona is doing. She cannot believe this is the "Kamen no kimi" she knows.

Mikan is determined to stop Persona and tells the other to run. Mikan: "To me, there is something a lot scarier than death"

Hotaru: "What are you saying"

Mikan tells Natsume to take them all away.

Mikan: "Only me is getting finished off like this is enough... I don't want any of you to get hurt anymore" Mikan begs them to listen to her, she wants to protect them. Persona thinks she is foolish. But Mikan: "I won't lose to you! Even if I die, I won’t lose to you! I won't let you hurt my friends anymore!" Aoi runs to stand between Mikan and Persona. She begs Persona to stop. But Persona simply angrily tells her to "move!" Mikan is suprised of Aoi's actions. Persona: "Yuki-Aoi, you too, are you to betray me? If you are on their side then even to you I will show no mercy. Move! Don't look at me that way. What are those eyes?!" Persona remembers things that people used to say about him, being a monster because of his alice, that even though he is an alice, letting him close to other students is too dangerous." Your presence makes my Hanazono dirty". We can see that Persona has a lot of pain and anger inside him. "Monster" But a man held out his hand to Persona: "You are not a monster. See, you are actually beautiful. Come, from now on always stay by my side, I shall make you human." Persona is angry at Aoi and says she has little value, covering Mikan. Persona: "Disappear from my sight!" Persona is ready to use his alice again, this time on Aoi! But again Mikan stops him. Aoi: "Mikan-chan!!" Mikan hugs Persona; "I won't let you hurt anyone anymore! Jii-chan! (grandfather), Hotaru, Ruka-pyon, Natsume, Narumi-sensei, everyone please, lend me your strength" In back of Mikan, the shadow of a man appears. Persona hears the words of this man; "Stop giving away to hatred and dirtying these hands." Persona's earing breaks. A man once gave this earing to Persona telling hiim to never take it off. It is a special sealing stone to protect him from his own alice. Never again shall your alice destroy your face. No one shall ever call you a monster again." Persona's alice begins to crawl over his face. He screams. They are all shocked at the sight. Hii-sama, up in the hanahimeden is laughing. Yamanouchi: "My, my. Hii-sama seems to be having a lot of fun. Are you planning some mischief?" Hii-sama: "Mikan no kimi, just as I thought, such an interesting girl. I simply loosened a little the barrier around her and what a happy suprise" Hii-sama is delighted with what is happening to Persona. Just then Tsubasa and Yo-chan come running from behind. Tsubasa: "Has someone been hurt?" But they arrive to find a blackened Mikan who lost conciousness.

Lying still in Hotaru's arms. When shall her eyes open...?

Gakuen Alice 67

Nobara: “Because I don't want Mikan-chan to hate me”

Persona: "This girl, she is helping you need now, Natsume"

Mikan: "Persona!!"

Misaki meets up with Tono and explains that Tsubasa was asked to follow Nobara to the Hanahimeden, and that because something seemed strange Tsubasa told Misaki to call up Tono. Tono isn't too happy to be dragged into some dangerous situation. Nobara falls down close to them, crying. Misaki, suprised, asks Nobara: "What are you doing here? Crying? Where's Tsubasa and Mikan?" Nobara keeps crying, sad that Mikan saw her in a trance, cold as ice and hurting them. Nobara: "When I first met Mikan, she gave me light.. I thought she would be the one who could lead me into the outer world, but I....." Nobara: "Please help Mikan-chan and the others, they are in grave danger. I can't help them (meaning she not strong enough)" Nobara decides that she doesn't have the right to be friends with Mikan, she terribly regrets her actions.

Mikan keeps asking questions to Persona on what happened to Nobara, what he did to her but Persona nastly answers to her: "Why, why, why. Do you actually think I'd answer if you asked a question?" Natsume explains that Nobara has a double personality that second personality is for work and usually does not appear but can be brought out by Persona. Persona: "Suitable to the name "Ice Princess", cold and cruel. She is my adorable doll." Mikan gets angrier and angrier towards Persona for speaking of Nobara in such a way. Natsume tries to attack Persona but it's too weak and Nobara's alice stone protects Persona; “Natsume, you've lost to the promise we made earlier" Persona says that Natsume lost because Natsume did not defeat alone Rui and the other kiken nouryoku, it's someone else (Tsubasa) fighting. But Persona had specifically told Natsume he was to beat them himself, alone. Someone runs and unlocks Aoi. Persona says to Natsume that the principal ordered that no mercy should be shown to traitors. Persona keep taunting Natsume, telling him he would never see his sister nor get out of there again. And would use his friends to show him what happens to those who stand against him. Mikan is angry, begins to scream at Persona that she won't let him do as he pleases but at that moment he uses his alice, Ruka jumps in front of Mikan to protect her and mice jump in front of Ruka, saving him from death. Persona: "I unforunately missed the biggest mouse" Hotaru shocked: “Just now, Persona's alice...." Natsume: "Persona you...!" Just at that moment Aoi walks close to them; "Who's there? Mikan chan? Could it be Kamen no kimi?" They are all surprised, even Persona. Natsume: “Aoi..." But Aoi doesn't recognize who he is. Aoi is a little afraid (remember she can't see); "Who are you? Kamen no kimi, where are you?" Mikan: "Aoi-chan, try to remember. Natsume is your important brother." Suddenly Hotaru and Ruka fell down; "Sakura! You're neck!" A bee ordered by Yakumo, the other kiken nouryoku, stings them, paralyzing them. Thanks to Ruka, Mikan was able to put her hand over her neck and the bee stung her on the hand. Persona tells Aoi that Natsume is the one who made her loose her sight and memory, but Natsume stands between Aoi and Persona: "Run Aoi, get out of here. I'll be right in back of you. This time I will keep that promise (A promise he made a long time ago) What ever happens, I wil protect you." Mikan can hear Natsume's voice across the fire that separates them from Persona. Natsume to Aoi: "I won't leave you alone again" Aoi: "Onii-can...onii-chan... A fire so familiar, familiar red eyes...." Aoi's memory has begun to come back. Mikan: "Both of you! Watch out!!" Mikan jumps in front of them, trying to use her alice but the barrier over the Hanahimeden weakens her, stopping her from completely nullifying.

Persona: "Aoi, come." Persona approaches them, trying to get his hands on Aoi. Natsume stays firm, ready to protect her. Mikan jumps up and pushes Persona. She doesn't want him to ruin Natsume and Aoi's happiness. Persona's mask falls off, he is extremely angry. Mikan's body begins to blacken all over. Persona: "you wouldn't die if you had simply touched the cloud, but touching me without my mask, you stupid Mukouka (nullification) (persona speaks in a way that seems to include Mikan and another nullification of before, you can understand who that mean) Persona is laughing tells Mikan its her fault and stupidity odd sticking her neck into others' busness which will have brought her death. Natsume: "death.....Mikan...."

Gakuen Alice 66

Mikan: "Wait for us Natsume!”

Narration: Wanting to save Natsume from Persona!! Mikan, hurry up to Natsume's side! Nobara is creeping closer and closer towards Natsume. Natsume: "Nobara.....you." Nobara: "Natsume-kun....natsume-kun...run. Please" Mikan, Hotaru and Ruka-pyon have reached a corridor which seperates into 3 different routes. What to do?! Mikan and Hotaru decided that since they are 3, it is perfect to spererate, each to take a different path. But Ruka is worried. Though Ruka-pyon is worried, thinking seperating would be too dangerous, especially for the girls, Mikan and Hotaru misunderstand Ruka-pyon's feelings as being scared. They tease him a bit, calling him Ru-chan. They seperate into the three difefrent paths, each wearing panda ear muffs to contact each other if they find Natsume.

Mikan quickly runs down a corridor and begins to go down a dark staircase. There seems to be someone down there, in the dark. Could it be Natsume? A young girl behind the bars of some sort of huge cage slips her hand through and touches Mikan on the shoulder. Suprised, Mikan screams, startling the girl who begins to scream too. Girl: "Who are you?" In the meanwhile, Hii-sama and Yamanouchi are talking about how noisy trespassers in the basement are. Hii-sama, angry: "I believe it is time to teach them WHO'S Hanazono this is. (Shadow: Persona & Elementary principal). Mikan wonders why a young girl would be in such a place. Mikan: "I'm elementary grade Sakura Mikan. Are you a student...? Though I've never seen you before" Mikan to herself: "This girl.....so cute!!" Somehow though Mikan didn't say this out loud, the young girl could realize Mikan's thoughts; "th..thank you"

In just moments, both girls have already become friends. Suddenly the young girl begins to feel Mikan's face. Mikan realises that the young girl cannot see. Girl: "just as I imagined, Mikan-chan is very cute!" Mikan begins to realise something about this girl. Mikan asks her: “What's your name, class, why are you locked up in here?!" She fits perfectly Ruka-pyons description of Aoi, Natsume's little sister. Aoi explaines that she is not a student, her name is Yuki Aoi, and by the grateful kindness of a certain person she is recieveing remedy for her eyes. In exchange she takes care of this "life savor" of hers. That she is not really locked, though the door is locked, but because she was accidentally involved in an accident cause by an alice and lost her sight and memory by this, Kamen no kimi saved her and takes care of her. But Aoi is surprised and worried for Mikan, becasue usually only helpers (staff) and Kamen no kimi (Persona) come down there. So if he finds out that Mikan mistakenly came, though as usually he's very nice, he may get very angry. Mikan can't understand why Aoi believes Persona to be her savior, to be a nice man. Why would Aoi, who is an alice, not be going to school but be locked up like this. Aoi replies that Mikan must be mistaking her with someone else because she is not an alice. That Kamen no kimi(Persona) knows that the school grounds are off limit for non alices, he lets her stay there and promises to some day let her recieve remedy that a normal non alice hospital could not give for her eyes. Mikan realises that probably Aoi's alice was the type which the more you use it the shorter the alice's life (not person, power) and after the blast which caused the whole town to burn, her alice probably worn out. And because Aoi lost her memory, she cannot remeber she was an alice, nor about Natsume. Aoi asks Mikan not to say bad things about Kamen no Kimi. He's always been alone and is a very nice but poor person that this cage used to be where he spent his youth and has deep sorrow. Aoi remembering a conversation with Persona who tells her, this room should be a place he never wanted to set foot again but thanks to Aoi, it's different. Aoi then continues to tell Mikan that though she lost her memory of her past, Kamen no kimi is her only support. Mikan sees that though Ruka-pyon said Aoi was always smiling but, now she's not,

Mikan: "Aoi-chan, let's get out of here."

Aoi: "Mikan-chan, could it be you know about the old me?"

Mikan:"Yes I do! And I know a person who cares about Aoi-chan the most. Aoi-chan let's get out of here! Let's go back to them (those important to you).

Suddenly the panda ear muffs begin to sing a loud silly song. It's Hotaru who tells MIkan to hurry down the corridor Ruka-pyon went. They found Natsume! Mikan leaves, promissing Aoi to come back and save her with those important to her.

Aoi: "Those important to me..."

Mikan meets up with Hotaru and the others. They are being protected by Natsume's fire.

Mikan: "What's going on?!"

The air is frozen. A snow storm? Mikan, who is not close to Natsume's fire, is attacked.

Hotaru: "Mikan watch out!"

Mikan was able to dodge, though if she had been hit she would have been iced.

Ruka-pyon: "Hurry! Come close to Natsume"

Mikan: “What's going on" Hotaru: "It's the ice alice" Mikan knows what this means but just cannot believe that "she" could be attacking them. Natsume: "Mikan, lend me a hand. Let's get out of this with yours and my alice. It's better to stop HER with your nullification than attacking with my alice." Nobara, coming closer and closer to them, is in a trance. Though in her head she continues to plead to them and to run away, Nobara really didn't want to fight with them, she even pleaded with Persona. Thanks to Mikan’s alice, Nobara's came out of her trance, but runs away. Nobara: "Especially MIkan...I didn't want her to see me like this" Persona, upset, comes forward: "running away in the middle of a mission, that girl. To think that the nullification would have an effect over the cancellation of the trance...I'll have to remember that”

Mikan: "Persona!"

Narration: The one that took away everyones smiles. Persona....!!
