Title: A crown of thorns that can never be taken off...

Natsume: "I started the fire" Ruka: "Natsume... Aoi..." Mikan: "So, the "village fire" everyone rumored about at school really wasn't Natsume's fault...He was simply trying to protect everyone. His sister, to protect Aoi-chan he took all the blame..." Ruka: “I think Natsume couldn't forgive himself for not being able to protect Aoi. So, whatever reason hidden behind the fire, he simply couldn't erase his feeling that it's all his fault"Natsume's father is also in the hospital, hurt for having tried to save Aoi from the burning house. Narumi says Natsume's father not hurt too badly, but because Natsume took all the blame for the incident and confessed to the fires, the country and Gakuen have discussed and it was decided that the cause of the incident was Natsume's personality and alice's instability, and because of his age (8years old) publicly the fires will be hidden as unfortunate acidents in exchange the Gakuen will take full responsibility to rehabilitate Natsume.

Therefore this is the last time he can see his father. From now on Natsume may never have contact with his father or sister. Narumi: "saying such a lie in front of everyone....saying such a thing, even you knew what would happen" but even so, Natsume is still worried about his sister, asking what will happen to her. Narumi answers that Alice Gakuen will take care of her, as long as Natsume is submissive to them(gakuen). Alice Gakuen has judged Natsume a danger to his family therefore he will be forbidden to have any contact with anyone of his family and will never be told where his sister will be kepted.

Narumi: "this is the price for your deicision to protect your sister."

Aoi: "who..... are you....?"

Persona: "In place of your elder brother, I will be the one to protect you"

Aoi: "elder brother...? who is "elder brother"....?

At the hospital, Ruka's mother runs to him, she was so worried. But others around begin to recognise Natsume, saying he is the one who started the fires. People begin to scream, insult, and throw things at him; "Go away! Pest! Do you know what you've done?! Give me back my family you've burned! (Note:no one died in the fires)"

Ruka tries to protect Natsume and tell everyone it's not his fault.

Natsume suddently punches Ruka: "don't touch me".

Ruka's mother tells Ruka; "let's go".

But Ruka still tries to go to Natsume, Ruka's mother explains that Natsume did so to protect Ruka, so that those around do not think of Ruka as being with Natsume. Many people saw Ruka with Natsume during the fire and suspect him too. Ruka is watching Natsume being taken away; "those eyes, just like mother's that day. (remembering when his mother faught against Alice gakuen to protect Ruka) Natsume's eyes, eyes of determination..." At home, Ruka is packing a suitcase. Ru-chan’s mother: "Ru-chan, what are you doing?" Ruka: "mother, I'm sorry...please don't cry..."Early morning, using the back door of the hospital so no one sees, Narumi-sesei and Makihara-sensei are waiting for Natsume. Narumi: "Natsume-kun, are you ready?" Natsume is wearing the gakuen uniform. Though mamihara-sensei tells Natsume to wear the ribbon around his neck, Narumi says to let it go this once. In the car, Ruka is sitting waiting for Natsume.

Ruka: "Good morning Natsume. I've decided to go too."

Natsume startled; "why..."

Ruka: "My father and mother have given me permission."

Natsume: "not that..what were you thinking"

Ruka: "I’ve decided. Because I've decided"

The night before, Ruka's mother is crying, she feels she does not have the right to stop Ruka from his decision and agrees to it; "Ru-chan, go. We must not let Natsume-chan go alone. Someone knowing that Natsume is not a criminal...we must not let Natsume-chan go somewhere alone, where no one knows the truth..."

In the car Natsume calls Ruka an idiot, but Ruka answers back: "you're the idiot".

From the hospital, Natsume's father runs towards the car, though nurses try to stop him, he's crying: "Natsume, Natsume!" But Narumi ask the driver: "Driver speed up". Far back Natsume's father falls down, but still he tries to go forward, though it's impossible, he still tries to reach the car. In the car Natsume I’d crying. Ruka holding Natsume's hand: "I'll get stronger. As much as Natsume...so, some day let's go home together...." In his head Ruka is thinking: "let's surpass all this together. And when we are adults, some day, let's go back to our families...next time, being strong enough to protect those important to us.” Ruka then talks to Mikan and Hotaru that the rest is pretty much how they know, that Natsume has been obliged to go to missions, do things they cannot imagine. And Ruka believes he ended up to be more of a burden than help to Natsume because Persona and the school used Ruka as an excuse to force Natsume into missions. Ruka: "just like a symbol of all this, my badges (stars) would unnaturally increase". Mikan is angry; "this is strange, why do Natsume and Ruka-pyon need to suffer this way..? What's with this school!” Ruka is surprised. He didn't expect Mikan to react this way. Mikan says she's felt for a while that the school is not normal, but Natsume did nothing, school has no right to do auch things to them.

Mikan: "Persona, I can't forgive such people....with natsume's future... our futures...I won't let them do what ever they want" Ruka is supried, Mikan starts running, Hotaru follows her.

Ruka: "Sakura..... Hey, you two"

Hotaru: "Ruka-kun, what are you waiting for? We'll leave you behind.

Ruka: "Imai..." Hotaru: "we don't have a moment to lose to get back Natsume, right?"

Mikan: "and let's go beat up those guys (Persona and the other kikennouryoku)"

Mikan: "Natsume...please be safe, we'll be right there"

Narration: "go to Natsume! Mikan! Hurry!"
